OUR RESEARCH APPROACH

Context is
part of the listing.

Separate the business models.

Licensing representation, marketplaces, labels, distribution, and exposure-only services serve different goals. A distributor is not automatically a sync agency, and a company licensing its own AI catalog may not accept outside creators.

Keep the AI distinctions.

Policies can differ for human-authored tracks using AI vocals, AI-assisted production, and substantially generated music. Filters indicate what the research mentions; the full policy and your specific workflow determine eligibility.

Date the evidence.

Member directory entries distinguish a dated source review from a research snapshot. Evidence dates stay attached to the research, and policies may change between reviews.

Keep uncertain routes visible and qualified.

Emerging features, unclear outside intake, and secondary-source claims are labeled for confirmation. Pay-per-track submission listings are excluded from the active directory. Membership and distribution fees remain relevant and are labeled where reported.

Updates follow editorial review.

Directory research is reviewed editorially and retains source links and dates. New evidence can replace older findings; the published source and your specific workflow should be checked before acting.
